Ciao! I'm Linda, and my love affair with Italy began when I embarked on a life-changing journey to this beautiful country.
Growing up in a typical Italian-American household, filled with chaos, laughter, and Sunday family dinners, I always felt a deep connection to my Italian roots.
In 1983, while navigating the uncertainties of my sophomore year at UMass Amherst, my wise Italian teacher suggested a Junior year abroad in Italy. I took her advice, followed my intuition, and took the leap. From the moment I set foot in Italy, I knew I had found my true calling. My insatiable desire to connect with people led me to quickly master the Italian language, which later became a valuable asset in my 30+ years of work.
After gaining marketing experience at an international architectural studio, I made the bold decision to move to Italy. Securing my dual citizenship and settling in Milano, I embarked on a journey that would shape my career. From freelance marketing consulting to a substantial career opportunity in Rome, I navigated the vibrant Italian business landscape, learning valuable lessons along the way.
Around 2004, I found my true passion in the production industry, working with foreign production companies shooting in Italy. Organizing film crew itineraries and managing productions became my forte, and I thrived in this role. However, life took an unexpected turn, leading me back to the US for a period. Despite thriving there, my heart longed for Italy, and the allure of its intricacies drew me back.
The pandemic served as a catalyst for change, prompting me to re-evaluate my path. In 2022, I made the decision to launch Italian Itinerary, a platform where I could share my expertise and passion for Italy by curating personalized, unforgettable experiences with a focus on slow travel.
